We wish to congratulate Your Excellency for taking the highest seat in the lady and as well our First Lady and Mother of Ghana. It is our hope that justice, peace and freedom will be the order of the day during your esteemed time on this divine seat.

We the undersigned Ghanaian citizens working legally in Australia on high paying and very respectable jobs were processed through the companies of Princess Asie Ocansey – namely SOS labour Ghana limited – registered and licensed as a private employment agency and channels of blessings global ministry – her Christian centered training institution.

We must register our utmost anger and disgust at the way this compassionate woman of god who has selflessly helped so many Ghanaians globally – from aids babies to grown men like us -- is being erroneously accused and disgraced globally without end through our media, namely by one Mary Mensah of Daily Graphic. Edith Abla Dusi, who claims was sold into prostitution by Princess Ocansey. And as well,  Mrs. Patience Quaye of the Ghana CID human trafficking unit should be asked to proceed to leave while this case is taken from her unit immediately.

Mr. President, we humbly ask that this issue be taken very seriously as this careless investigation into our program will eventually cause a major financial loss not only to the nation, but to those at home who are aspiring to join this laudable and legal program. It is no secret that remittances from Ghanaians overseas is over 2.5 billion USD. When the workers are working legally overseas, which is the trade mark of Princess Ocansey’s programs, it will impact remittances more.

Princess Ocansey has worked passionately to see to it that Ghanaians travel overseas and work legally. She invested in time in the Philippines to study their model of migration – Filipino workers bring in over 14 billion/year as remittances back home to their country and it has been the dream of Princess Ocansey that all Ghanaians will have legal channels to travel overseas to double the current level of remittances for the nation in a respectable manner.

She also invited manpower UK to Ghana to help her set up a first class and legal migration program. Manpower hires over 2 million people a year and is the largest employment agency in the world. Her company became the first licensed agency in Ghana to take workers overseas to work with license number pea/1 in 2008.

We did not even appreciate what she had done for us until we arrived in Australia to meet our other fellow Ghanaians who came to Australia through other means and how much they are suffering for being undocumented.

Being undocumented is the sad end of many Ghanaians, except those who go through channels of blessings and SOS labour Ghana limited. By being a duly licensed private employment agency, SOS labour with her capacity for very high level contacts globally, Princess Ocansey has been able to secure very good jobs overseas for many Ghanaians like us. Some of us had been laid off and had lost all hope until we met her, and through her company our lives has been catapulted to a high level. Such is the story of many of us whose lives Princess Ocansey has touched overseas.

Even those who could not continue in the program and maybe disgruntled for not being able to travel overseas as the program is very strict on character, would have to admit that their walk with god improved through channels of blessings and they were trained about international life skills which they can use right there in Ghana.

Many of our fellow Ghanaians here will tell you they wished they had known Princess Ocansey before coming to Australia so that they would also be processed through her companies and land in Australia with good jobs like us. Unlike us, many went through ‘connection men’  or true and real human traffickers, whom the cid unit should be going after and to stop rather disgracing the one hope we all have who has proved herself true- Princess Asie Ocansey.

Princess Ocansey has dedicated her life to making sure Ghanaians do not travel and work illegally overseas. For this she has been running a radio program on 88.7 sunny fm called: ‘travelling overseas god’s way’ where she teaches the nation the word of god while also uniquely providing on air free seminars on how to travel overseas in a way that would help Ghanaians to be fully documented and successful.

Mr. President, we humbly submit to you that our princess is the victim here. She is not, has never been and will never be a human trafficker. She has been one of the loudest anti human trafficking advocates naturally by what she has done for several hundreds of us.

It is unfortunate that the young lady in question underwent a psychiatric episode making her narrate stories that are contrary to all of our experiences. Princess Ocansey would not engage in human trafficking and for her work in HIV/AIDS which spans over 15 years globally for which she has won many awards, there is no way Princess Ocansey will associate herself with prostitution!

 the reason is simple.

She does not allow us to leave Ghana until her company has been successful in securing good jobs with good salaries for us, no matter how long it takes. This has caused her companies to loose incomes many times but she has always stood her ground saying: ‘I just do not want you to suffer, if you go overseas without the proper documents, and good job in hand, you will suffer and fail and i can not be associated with that because of the god i serve’. Many of us had not fasted before we came to know Princess Ocansey. She is a woman of god.

Many of the people we started the program with, withdrew from the program as it took nearly two years to process our documents through the proper channels and tedious procedures, yet her staff persevered and served us professionally all the way until our safe arrival here in Australia and continue to be in touch with us.

Dear Mr. President, we were not trafficked and we are not in prostitution. We all work in technical fields earning salaries upwards of $9,000/month. As a result we are able to send monies home and provide well for our families. In addition, our wives and children are being processed by her company to come and legally join us here in Australia. This ridiculous accusations therefore affects us personally.

As we read the stories our hearts are saddened and we must let you know the cid system in Ghana needs to be investigated particularly Mrs. Patience Quaye as well as the writer of the lies in the daily graphic. We insist that Mrs Patience Quaye be made to proceed on leave while this case is being further investigated.

Mr. President, we want you to see to it that Princess Ocansey is immediately released, for we cannot and will not rest until she is made free. We intend to mobilize several thousands of Ghanaians for this cause. God used this ‘Moses’ of Princess Asie Ocansey to free many of us from poverty and we cannot therefore be silent until she is free.

We thank you for your immediate attention to this serious character defamation, wrongful arrest and victimization of this woman of god who has done nothing but good for our nation and us.
