Your Excellency, please accept our congratulations as the new president of our beloved nation! As youth of Ghana our hope is renewed because of you!
I Roberta Quansah and Nana Korankye Sam, are writing to you on our behalf as well as on the behalf of our other members of channels of blessings and SOS in Canada.

It is with great hurt and alarm that we read of the wrongful arrest of Princess Asie Ocansey by the Daily Graphic and the Ghana cid unit to concoct horror and sensational stories and other the terrible lies about our program and the inhumane personal attacks on Princess Asie Ocansey, the CEO of SOS labour. SOS labour is the licensed private employment agency through whom we blessedly had provision by god of these highly decent and respectable jobs god used his vessel of honor, Princess Asie Ocansey, to bless us with.
Dear Mr. President, we are Roberta Quansah and Nana Sam, group leaders and welfare officers of the Ghanaians living and working Canada through the SOS labour company. We urge you to urgently approve the immediate release of Princess Asie Ocansey out of the cid human trafficking unit, Mr President Princess Ocansey does not belong there! The real traffickers are out there, they need to go after them, but Princess Ocansey if nothing near a human trafficker!
Mr. President, we work in very highly respectable companies like Standens, Canada bread to name a few. These are large multinationals. We are being very well trained and well treated.

Mr. President, I would like to remind you that it was Princess Ocansey who was appointed by the Ministry of Employment and Social Welfare - as a legal migration expert and consultant. Princess Ocansey drafted the Canada-SK -Ghana MOU and reviewed it with the chief labour officer of Ghana. She was the consultant for the first Ghana Gulf MOU for legal migration on the Ghana-Libya cooperation delegation led by hon. Mumuni and Hon. Kojo Tsikata in may 2010!
I, Nana Sam, have a personal testimony of how Princess Ocansey cares for us who go through her company. We were working in Canada with a company who was not providing us heat in our rooms. When Princess Ocansey heard of it, she flew from Ghana to Canada and immediately removed us from that company. She stayed in Canada one very cold winter, she was to be there for 7 days, but she changed her plans and committed herself to staying in Canada until she finds us a job. Which is what she did, it cost her staying in a hotel for 70 days just to make sure we were fine!
Is this the profile of a human trafficker? This is a woman whose legal migration program will be a good model for all the private employment agencies to follow in Ghana. We have all discussed, Mr. President that you consider a MOU with Ghana and Canada as Princess Ocansey has been advocating since 2006! She even drafted the MOU already, which will help stop human trafficking.
Princess Ocansey is providing the answer to stop human trafficking with her good program and works, please do not let her be crucified, Christ has done that for all of us already! Save this woman from the claws of ambitious women who want to become famous by bringing others down.
Mr. President, Princess Ocansey has a licensed agency. She has helped our nation fight human trafficking. She has helped many Ghanaians travel legally overseas and are sending home several million dollars a year. What she needs is the appreciation, support and honor of our nation.
Your Excellency, i appeal to you to rise up and save this situation. She must be made free to continue to create jobs – which are important to you and the better Ghana agenda.
The drama and sensationalism of cid stories have become more important than the truth of the content and this cannot continue. It is making a criminal out of a woman who has been nothing but kind and helpful to many of us. She has given us a chance to dream and to aspire to becoming great citizens of Ghana, please save her. This gross injustice must be stopped. Please help!
